HeYoMa, Gliffo & Selin Akbaba entered with the HeYoMa 70ies Remix of "I Can't Wait For You" the Top10 of the German NuDisco Genre Charts.
HeYoMa stands for He, Yo & Ma: Ma had the idea for a good mood pop project after so many friends and acquaintances complained about all the bad news in the world and were completely exhausted after the lockdowns. Ma also sings backing vocals and is responsible for multi-layered visual ideas for the project. Yo - also known under his artist name "Jo Oliver" (SoulRock) - is the musical head and lead singer of the project. He is an experienced music producer and songwriter as well as a multi-instrumentalist. He usually produces HeYoMa single-handedly, from composition, arrangement and production to mixing and mastering. He is the "inspirer" of the band. He was Ma's father, a soul of a man who always loved singing and catchy melodies. He passed away at the age of 92 in 2022, but his spirit, kindness and balance are still a driving force for HeYoMa today.
After the biggest German-language music blog categorized HeYoMa in the NuDisco category and HeYoMa's greatest successes to date in this genre (including several placements in various dance and DJ charts - for ex. here position 12), Ma & Yo decided to make NuDisco the musical focus of HeYoMa in the future. The project is always open to collaborations and is especially looking for female singers for artist features.
More HeYoMa News: We had been awarded by international songwriting competition! The jury of the international "Song Of The Year Songwriting Contest" awarded HeYoMa with the "Runner Up Placement Award" for our XMAS anthym "Together At Christmas".
The Song Of The Year jury is made up of high profile musicians such as Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), etc.

HeYoMa is a new good mood music project from Berlin, founded in summer 2022. HeYoMa stands for "He" (Henryk), "Yo" & "Ma" (Magdalena). Musical head is "Yo", who already received numerous awards as a songwriter, guitarist/multi-instrumentalist and music producer. The latest award is the "Semi-Final Award" for newcomer "Gliffo" - for the song "Feel Good The Way You Are" written and produced by Yo under his civil name "Joerg Sieghart", awarded by the international Song Of The Year Contest, where illustrious musician personalities like Lenny Kravitz, Steven Tyler from Aerosmith or Alicia Keys sit in the jury.

The 3rd HeYoMa single "Get Up Freak Out" landed in the official Austrian DJ charts and the
Swiss Dance Charts.
The current Christmas single "Together At Christmas" is a true XMAS anthem with a positive message, supported by the wonderful voice of guest singer Selin Akbaba as featured artist.
